The Best of Both Worlds
Our mission at Zen Dog is to fully assess your pet’s symptoms, treat the root issue, and support their long-term health and wellness.
By working in conjunction with your primary veterinarian and incorporating alternative techniques, we can achieve a balanced holistic treatment plan that truly promotes your pet’s wellbeing.
This integrative and highly-effective approach allows us to achieve the “best of both worlds.”
Individual and Holistic Vet Treatment
The veterinary field traditionally emphasizes treating existing symptoms for your pet while never addressing any of their underlying issues or needs. Individualized treatment plans are often overlooked or inadequately provided resulting in reoccurring health problems and new symptoms which stem from an undiagnosed root cause.
Zen Dog understands how a deeper understanding and analysis of the root cause of your pet’s symptoms are required to properly and effectively treat these issues.
Who We Are
At Zen Dog, we strive to provide your pet with individualized care by infusing alternative elements adapted from traditional Chinese medicine and rehabilitation therapy into your pet’s treatment plan. Zen Dog aims to restore a level of artistry back into veterinary medicine by providing acupuncture, physical therapy, and high-quality Chinese herbs and supplements into your pet’s individualized treatment plan. We provide evidence-based techniques and medicine that acknowledges, practices, and reveres traditional Chinese medicine. Meet the doctor >
What We Do (And Don’t Do)
We make your pet comfortable using modalities that we know and trust. Our time-tested techniques fill in the gaps left by conventional Western medicine. Acupuncture is used to provide relief from pain, reduce or eliminate side effects from pharmaceuticals, and promote the body’s natural ability to heal. Physical therapy promotes a return to function, reduce pain, and increase mobility. Chinese herbs potentiate the effects of acupuncture and help allow for a lower dose of pharmaceuticals. We try to weave these modalities together to produce superior results.
We do not perform diagnostics (Bloodwork, X-rays, etc.)or surgery, give vaccines, or other important services provided by your primary veterinarian. These essential services should be performed by your primary veterinarian on a regular basis. The collaboration between Eastern and Western medicine has proven to be fruitful. We will actively engage with your primary veterinarian to ensure that your pet is receiving the best care.
Where We Operate
In your home. This is part of what makes our services special. We treat your pet in their natural environment. No cold examination tables, no waiting outside the veterinary hospital for your pet, no worrying that you cannot observe what is happening to your pet, and most importantly your pet is not thrust into a stressful environment. The insights we gain makes us one of the best in-home holistic vets and allows us to help you modify your pet’s environment to help treat their orthopedic conditions.
Why We Do This
Reduce pain in our beloved companions
Promote the human-animal bond
Increase longevity and healthspan of pets
Reduce stress in the lives of pets and their owners

We’re There Until The End
When the time comes that your pet can no longer enjoy the activities they used to and they begin to succumb to their illnesses, we will be there to help their transition. We offer at home euthanasia services to provide a proper, dignified end.
